• Assignment Type: Travel Radiology Technologist (travel assignment)
• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center — emergency, operating room (OR), fluoroscopy/c-arm support
• Start Date: May 18, 2026
• End Date: August 15, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 – $2,430 (competitive weekly pay for travel healthcare)
• Shift: Monday – Thursday, 10:00 PM – 7:30 AM (8-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week, 36 hours preferred) — night shift / diagnostic imaging
• On Call: 2-3 call shifts per month (must be able to report within 30 minutes)
• Holiday and Callback: As needed per unit requirements

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Completion of formal training from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) — ARRT certified Rad Tech
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technologist / Radiologic Technologist
• Recent experience in a Level 1 trauma center and operating room (OR) required
• Recent experience using c-arm / o-arm within the past 8 months (OR fluoroscopy preferred)
• Proficient with PACS and electronic patient information systems
• Ability to move or lift patients and stand for extended periods — safe patient handling
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; team-oriented and patient-focused
• Must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders before procedures to ensure safe diagnostic imaging
• Operate x-ray and fluoroscopy equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images as ordered
• Provide patient-centered care: explain procedures, answer questions, and ensure comfort and safety
• Position and assist patients of all ages and mobility levels, including trauma and OR cases
• Safely operate and maintain radiologic and c-arm equipment, minimizing radiation exposure and following ALARA principles
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to age-specific and emergent needs in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Report equipment problems promptly to management and collaborate on solutions
• Use PACS and electronic medical records to ensure images are properly identified, archived, and transmitted
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory and departmental policies for diagnostic imaging
• Foster a cohesive, collaborative work environment with clinical team members and support staff
