Travel Cath Lab Technologist – 13-week Cardiac Cath Lab RT contract in Baltimore, MD (21218). Job Details
- Position Type: Travel / Contract – Onsite
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260 - $2,420
- Location: Baltimore, MD 21218 (Baltimore healthcare / Maryland travel job)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 25, 2026 – August 24, 2026)
- Shift: Four 10-hour days (07:00 – 17:00), plus 1–2 weeknight call shifts and 3-24 hour weekend call shifts per month
- Setting: Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Scrubs Provided
- Orientation: Weekly onboarding/orientation
Key Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology setting (Cath Lab Tech / Cardiovascular Technologist)
- CCI RCIS or ARRT(R) registration required; Maryland state license required if ARRT certified
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to perform under pressure in a high-paced interventional environment and work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
- Two supervisory references required, including one from your most recent assignment
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Responsibilities
- Assist and scrub for interventional cardiac procedures including PCI, PTCA, stent placement, right and left heart catheterization, rotablator/rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and balloon angioplasty
- Support advanced procedures: Watchman, Impella insertion, TAVI/TAVR when applicable
- Maintain sterile field, set up instrumentation and supplies, and ensure equipment function (ACIST, hemodynamic monitoring)
- Accurately monitor and document patient hemodynamics during procedures
- Provide call coverage (weeknight and weekend shifts) and respond to rapid response teams as needed
- Collaborate with IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and other clinical teams to support adult and geriatric patient populations (daily census ~12–20)
- Demonstrate proficiency as room circulator and acute monitoring tech when required
