• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM (10-hour nights); every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,740 – $1,870

Key Qualifications (Medical Laboratory Technician / MLT)

• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Clinical Laboratory Technician, or similar role
• Valid MLT certification (ASCP-MLT, AMT-MLT, or equivalent)
• Ability to meet Ohio state licensure requirements if applicable
• Experience in hospital clinical laboratory testing: hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology, and specimen processing
• Comfort working night shifts and every other weekend schedule
• Completion of onboarding health screenings and background checks
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality patient care

Responsibilities (Laboratory Technician / Clinical Support)

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and diagnostic testing in a hospital clinical laboratory setting
• Process and accession specimens, run assays, and validate results according to CLIA and hospital protocols
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers; document maintenance and quality control
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of test results to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Follow safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards (CLIA, safety, and infection control)
• Communicate and collaborate with nurses, providers, and lab leadership to support patient care
• Accurately document and report findings in the laboratory information system (LIS) and hospital records

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hospital LIS, POCT, and automated analyzers
• Phlebotomy experience and strong specimen handling skills
• Previous travel MLT or temporary staffing experience a plus
• Familiarity with quality improvement and troubleshooting lab issues
