• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,744 - $1,938
• Location: On-site – Flemington, New Jersey (08822)
• Position Type: Hospital laboratory contract position (Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Scientist)
• Shift: Evening shift, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Holiday Blackout: July 4th weekend not eligible for time off

Minimum Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist
• ASCP certification required (ASCP-certified MLS)
• BLS certification preferred
• Comfortable performing and interpreting positive blood cultures and spinal fluid Gram stains
• Experience with molecular testing a plus (PCR, molecular diagnostics)
• Experience with Roche Chemistry analyzers and middleware preferred
• Experience with Soft and SoftMIC Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing in Microbiology and Chemistry following hospital and CLIA protocols
• Interpret and report results for blood cultures, spinal fluid Gram stains, and molecular assays
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Roche Chemistry analyzers and associated middleware
• Use Soft and SoftMIC LIS for specimen accessioning, tracking, and result reporting
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to ensure accurate, timely laboratory results for patient care
• Adhere to laboratory safety, quality control, and documentation standards
• Work scheduled every other weekend and evening lab shifts as required
