• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,148 - $2,387
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirement: Every third day with a 30-minute response time
• Weekend Requirement: Up to 2 weekends per month
• Holidays: As needed
• Floating: May be asked to float to the general OR if needed

CVOR Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Surgical Technologist experience required
• Recent open heart surgery experience required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Current NBSTSA certification required
• NCCT certification not accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• EPIC experience required
• Ability to meet a 30-minute call response time
• Strong clinical skills in a high-acuity surgical setting

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular operating room for surgical procedures
• Assist the surgical team during open heart and other CVOR cases
• Ensure sterile technique and support patient safety throughout procedures
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs by organizing instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Support efficient room turnover and case readiness in the perioperative setting
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and perioperative staff
• Float to the general OR when needed based on department needs
• Provide care in accordance with facility protocols, including for patients requiring isolation precautions when applicable
