Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1690-$1820
• Location: Elmer, New Jersey
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care hospital laboratory
• Start Date: 7/6/2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel lab tech contract
• Schedule: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM or 11:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shifts: 5 shifts per week
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday
• Dress Code: Burgundy scrubs
• Charting/Systems: LIS / Cerner Millennium; Epic transition noted
• Equipment: Siemens and Sysmex experience preferred

Medical Lab Technician Job Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) in an acute care hospital setting
• Blood bank experience required
• ASCP certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Experience with Siemens and Sysmex laboratory equipment preferred
• Experience with Cerner Millennium and Epic electronic health record systems preferred
• Ability to float to Bridgeton Location if needed
• Previous travel lab experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment

Laboratory Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and analysis in accordance with established protocols and quality standards
• Support blood bank operations and ensure accurate specimen handling and processing
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
• Document results accurately within the laboratory information system (LIS)
• Collaborate with clinical and laboratory team members to support timely patient care
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines
• Participate fully in required orientation and training activities
• Provide coverage on assigned evenings or nights, including every other weekend and holiday rotation
