Ultrasound Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer experience required
• Prior hospital-based ultrasound experience preferred
• Experience in MFM ultrasound imaging strongly preferred
• Current applicable state licensure, if required
• Current BLS certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment, imaging protocols, and patient safety standards
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Provide high-quality imaging support within a hospital environment, with attention to MFM-related studies and maternal fetal medicine workflows
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the imaging process with professionalism, empathy, and compassion
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely communication of exam information to the care team
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any operational concerns promptly
• Follow all safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support excellent patient outcomes
