• Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM-6:30 AM
• Shifts Per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,330-$2,500

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• Associate degree in MRI, radiologic technology, or radiology
• At least 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT certification preferred
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Experience with GE scanner technology required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Injection certification required
• New York State Rad Tech license, or willingness to obtain after starting
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient care, and diagnostic imaging best practices

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for MRI exams and explain procedures to promote comfort and confidence
• Work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to help ensure timely imaging results
• Start IVs and administer injections when needed for MRI procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe MRI scanning environment
• Document procedures accurately while protecting patient confidentiality and compliance standards
• Provide additional patient care support as needed in the hospital imaging department
• Support unit needs, including holidays, on-call, and callback coverage as assigned
