Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of a two-year AMA-approved radiologic technology program required
2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
1 year of mammography experience preferred
ARRT certification in Mammography required within 2 years of hire
Registered Technologist (R)(M) required
Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic mammograms to assist in the diagnosis of disease or trauma
Program the mammography machine for proper density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
Prepare, maintain, and operate mammography equipment safely and responsibly
Follow radiation safety guidelines and best practices at all times
Complete and document all QA/QC tests in accordance with MQSA standards
Support mobile mammography services when needed, including occasional weekends
Provide compassionate, professional patient care in a fast-paced radiology environment
