- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour night shifts, approximately 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, Sunday through Tuesday
- Weekly Hours: 30 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,690 - $1,820
- On-Call: Not required
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of sleep lab experience required
- High school diploma required
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) registration or registry eligibility preferred
- Epic experience required
- Strong knowledge of polysomnography, sleep study procedures, and technical standards
- Ability to work independently on night shift while maintaining quality, patient safety, and accurate documentation
Responsibilities
- Perform polysomnography studies to assess multiple physiological parameters during sleep
- Complete overnight sleep studies and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLT) with high-quality results
- Titrate CPAP and BiPAP therapy per protocol and physician order
- Administer oxygen therapy independently or in conjunction with PAP therapy
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments to keep studies running smoothly
- Recognize and respond appropriately to medical events such as cardiac dysrhythmias, respiratory events, and seizures
- Collect patient information, complete questionnaires, and identify sleep-related complaints
- Review and evaluate studies in real time and prepare preliminary reports
- Calibrate and adjust instruments to maintain proper technical standards
- Identify artifacts, document abnormal clinical findings, and support accurate testing outcomes
- Maintain professional, courteous communication with patients and colleagues
- Participate in continuing education, quality improvement, and mandatory training
