Travel Radiation Therapist Job - Hospital-Based Radiation Oncology in Reading, PA

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: Typically 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• Shifts Per Week: 5
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 - $2,140
• Call: Occasional holiday call coverage

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience preferred
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience working with Varian equipment
• Ability to complete required Pennsylvania healthcare clearances, including state fingerprinting and child abuse clearance
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to the radiation oncologist’s prescription
• Obtain imaging for treatment planning, simulation, and targeting
• Assess patient condition prior to simulation and treatment
• Provide ongoing patient education and clinical support throughout the simulation and treatment process
• When assigned to CT simulation, create immobilization and treatment aid devices
• Operate a CT scanner and MED RAD power injector for IV contrast as needed
• Obtain and analyze cross-sectional imaging for treatment planning
• Perform blood draws when indicated
