• Job Type: Travel Certified Surgical Technologist / CVOR position
• Setting: Hospital-based cardiovascular operating room
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 9/8/2026
• Schedule: 40 hours per week with day/evening coverage; shifts may occur between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. based on staffing needs
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts listed
• Orientation: 80 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,060–$2,210
• Candidate Type: Local candidates welcome; first-time travelers accepted

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of total CST experience
• At least 2 years of cardiac and vascular experience
• At least 1 year of CVOR experience
• At least 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Scrub experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing
• Comfort working in General OR, Thoracic, Vascular, and CVOR environments
• Strong aseptic technique and familiarity with crash cart, scrub, circulate, and equipment documentation workflows
• Epic charting experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Scrub in for complex cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
• Assist with advanced procedures such as CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, TAVR, and related operating room cases
• Maintain a sterile field and support universal protocol and patient safety standards
• Prepare, organize, and reprocess surgical instruments and specialty equipment
• Assist with case cart setup, specimen handling, and accurate equipment documentation
• Support circulating and scrub functions as needed to help the OR run smoothly
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and surgical staff to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
