Travel Cath Lab Job Details
- Type: Travel, on-site Cath Lab technologist position
- Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
- Start Date: 09/08/2026
- End Date: 12/05/2026
- Duration: 13-week travel assignment
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; 8-hour shifts with start times around 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, or 9:00 AM
- On-Call: Required in rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830–$3,040
- Additional Note: Lead apron use required
Cath Lab Tech Job Requirements
- Experience in a Cath Lab, cardiovascular invasive, special procedures, or interventional radiology setting preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
- Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist track: associate's degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology, or at least 3 years of recent Cath Lab experience
- Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist track: current BLS, ACLS, IABP course, and RCIS certification
- Special Procedures Tech track: high school diploma or GED, graduation from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration, and Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist licensure
- Special Procedures Tech track: successful passage of a Basic Arrhythmia Challenge Exam or completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course within 12 months of accepting the position
- Special Procedures Tech track: current BLS, ACLS, and IABP course
- Interventional radiology experience is strongly preferred
Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters
- Operate interventional and related equipment during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab
- Support patient safety, comfort, and understanding before, during, and after procedures
- Transfer patients to and from stretchers, wheelchairs, and procedure equipment
- Prepare sterile trays, clean up after procedures, and maintain procedural readiness
- Assist with contrast media administration as directed by the physician
- Help maintain department inventory and organize supplies
- Perform routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and safety checks on interventional equipment
- Work collaboratively to support productivity, quality care, and a smooth workflow
- Follow radiation protection standards and maintain a safe procedural environment
