Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
Shifts per Week: 3
Average Hours per Week: 36
Call Coverage: Thursday night call plus rotating weekend call
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,030–$2,190
Equipment: GE 1.5T closed MRI systems

Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience in a hospital setting
ARRT certification with MRI registry (MR) required, or obtained within one year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association preferred prior to direct patient care
Experience with GE MRI equipment strongly preferred
Ability to start IVs and administer contrast for MRI procedures
Familiarity with EPIC and PACS systems preferred
Strong knowledge of MRI safety, patient screening, and imaging protocols
Comfort working with pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

Responsibilities

Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established radiology protocols
Prepare and screen patients for safety, including metal screening, history review, and consent verification
Position patients appropriately and select scan parameters and pulse sequences
Start IVs and administer contrast agents as needed for imaging exams
Monitor patients throughout procedures and communicate any concerns promptly
Maintain controlled access to the magnet room and follow strict MRI safety standards
Support quality control, equipment troubleshooting, and routine maintenance tasks
Assist with onboarding, training, and student instruction when needed
Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and efficient daily workflow
