Job Details

• Position Type: Travel MRI Technologist
• Location: Springfield, Ohio 45504
• Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday; 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Call: Wednesday 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, plus weekend call coverage as assigned
• Contract Length: 4 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,030 – $2,190
• Setting: Hospital and outpatient MRI coverage
• Equipment: GE 1.5T closed MRI systems
• Start Date: 8/24/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience in a hospital setting required
• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology with MRI registry (MR) required, or must be obtained within one year of hire
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required prior to direct patient care
• Experience with GE MRI equipment strongly preferred
• Experience with Epic EHR and PACS systems preferred
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient volumes
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, patient screening, and contrast procedures

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams according to established protocols and physician orders
• Operate magnetic resonance imaging systems, coils, gating devices, and related imaging equipment
• Prepare and position patients safely and accurately for diagnostic imaging procedures
• Screen patients thoroughly for MRI safety, including metal and implant precautions
• Start IVs and administer contrast when indicated by procedure requirements
• Review images for quality and adjust scan parameters as needed to achieve optimal results
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the exam
• Follow magnetic resonance safety standards and infection control procedures
• Assist with quality assurance, equipment checks, and troubleshooting when needed
• Support onboarding, training, and supervision of students or new team members
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and department staff to support efficient patient care
