• Shift: Days, 5 x 8-hour shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Schedule Notes: Monday through Friday as assigned; one late shift per week; STEMI call required; one night per week and one weekend approximately every 6th week
• Patient Population: Neonates through geriatrics

Cath Lab Tech Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a cath lab, invasive cardiovascular, or similar acute care setting preferred
• High school diploma required
• ARRT required
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
• BLS required
• ACLS required, or PALS depending on specialty assignment
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, hemodynamic data, and patient care protocols
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, team-oriented environment
• Comfort working with universal precautions and infection control standards

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during a variety of cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab
• Scrub procedures and support movement of the C-arm, collimation, and room setup as directed
• Perform across multiple procedure types including diagnostic caths, PCI, IABP, Impella, pacemaker, ICD, ablation, and STEMI coverage
• Collect, interpret, and document procedural and hemodynamic data accurately
• Maintain patient safety, sterile technique, and protocol compliance throughout all invasive cardiovascular procedures
• Assist with inventory management, charging, and equipment readiness
• Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental standards
• Participate in call coverage and help ensure timely response for urgent cardiovascular cases
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to deliver excellent patient care
