Join a busy hospital-based echocardiology team in Lorain, Ohio, where you'll play an important role in delivering accurate, high-quality cardiac imaging. Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030-$2,190
- Setting: Hospital Echocardiology Department
- Location: Lorain, OH 44053
- Start Date: July 20, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with rotating on-call coverage every other week
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Average Daily Patient Load: Approximately 8 patients

Job Requirements
- Current BLS certification required
- RDCS or RCS echocardiography credential required
- Associate degree in cardiovascular technology, diagnostic medical sonography, ultrasonography, or a related health science field preferred
- At least 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, Echo Tech, or Ultrasound Technologist preferred
- Experience with EPIC and PACS preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, echocardiogram exam procedures, and interpretation criteria
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to stay organized and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic echocardiography studies, including transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac stress testing
- Prepare patients for procedures and explain testing clearly to support comfort and cooperation
- Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Administer imaging enhancement agents according to department policies
- Review exam orders, clarify concerns when needed, and communicate findings to the appropriate medical team members
- Document preliminary results and critical findings accurately in the electronic medical record
- Maintain safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards at all times
- Provide on-call coverage as scheduled and assist with other duties as assigned
