• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030-$2,190
• Setting: Hospital Echocardiology Department
• Location: Lorain, OH 44053
• Start Date: July 20, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: Monday through Friday with rotating on-call coverage every other week
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Average Daily Patient Load: Approximately 8 patients

Job Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• RDCS or RCS echocardiography credential required
• Associate degree in cardiovascular technology, diagnostic medical sonography, ultrasonography, or a related health science field preferred
• At least 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, Echo Tech, or Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Experience with EPIC and PACS preferred
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, echocardiogram exam procedures, and interpretation criteria
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to stay organized and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic echocardiography studies, including transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac stress testing
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain testing clearly to support comfort and cooperation
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to clinical needs
• Administer imaging enhancement agents according to department policies
• Review exam orders, clarify concerns when needed, and communicate findings to the appropriate medical team members
• Document preliminary results and critical findings accurately in the electronic medical record
• Maintain safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards at all times
• Provide on-call coverage as scheduled and assist with other duties as assigned
