- Shift: 10-hour nights, 7:45 PM to 5:45 AM
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Weekend Rotation: Rotating weekends
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 - $1,700
- Patient Population: Neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in neurophysiology, sleep disorders medicine, or a related sleep lab setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One of the following credentials is required: RPSGT, RST, or Licensed Respiratory Therapist with SDS credential
- BLS certification required before patient care
- Polysomnography state licensure preferred, if applicable to the state of practice
- Strong computer skills, including accurate data entry and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Knowledge of sleep medicine guidelines, sleep study scoring, and AASM standards
- Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for overnight sleep studies and clearly explain testing procedures
- Review patient history and clinical data to determine the appropriate polysomnography testing approach
- Operate polysomnographic equipment to capture diagnostic and therapeutic recordings
- Perform sleep staging and event scoring according to AASM guidelines
- Document accurate technical reports to support physician interpretation and patient care
- Troubleshoot equipment and monitor study quality throughout the shift
- Assist with patient scheduling, billing-related support, and general office tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety and infection control procedures
- Stay current through continuing education and ongoing professional development
