Job Details
- Setting: Hospital Cardiac Imaging / Echocardiology
- Location: Cincinnati, OH 45211
- Employment Type: Travel Healthcare Job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- On-Call: Required, with approximately 2–3 weeks of call during the contract
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030–$2,190
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required; 2 years preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Credentialed in echocardiography with RDCS or RCS required
- Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography, or a related applied health science field preferred
- Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation criteria
- Ability to perform or support transthoracic echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and patient-centered care skills
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic echocardiography exams using ultrasound equipment
- Complete transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac stress testing as applicable
- Prepare patients for procedures and clearly explain exam steps to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation
- Monitor patients during imaging and recognize any changes in condition
- Administer imaging enhancement agents according to department policy
- Review patient information in the electronic medical record and document preliminary findings accurately
- Communicate with referring providers when clarification is needed before an exam
- Support quality, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times
- Work collaboratively with the care team and complete assigned tasks efficiently
