• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,860
• Shift: 12-hour nights

• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required; floating to other hospitals in the market may be needed based on staffing needs

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional or Respiratory Therapist
• Current Ohio Respiratory Care License required
• NBRC credential required
• RRT credential preferred
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred at hire or prior to direct patient care
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Experience with EPIC EHR preferred
• Ability to work with neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care through patient assessment, treatment planning, intervention, education, and evaluation
• Perform respiratory care procedures within scope of license and respond to changes in patient condition
• Set up, maintain, and manage respiratory therapy equipment and therapy modes
• Administer treatments and therapies according to physician orders and modify procedures based on patient response
• Educate patients and caregivers on oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, incentive spirometry, ventilator care, and related therapies
• Participate in CPR and code response as indicated by clinical circumstances
• Maintain accurate documentation, charting, and recordkeeping in the EHR
• Support quality, safety, infection control, and patient care standards
• Serve as a preceptor to new team members and students when needed
• May function as a shift charge therapist, helping coordinate staffing and patient coverage needs
