Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience required
• Current Respiratory Therapist credential/licensure as applicable
• NRP certification required
• Experience with neonatal respiratory care and maternal respiratory care strongly preferred
• Comfort working night shift and supporting deliveries, post-partum care, and specialty nursery needs
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced hospital environment with strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide medicated aerosol therapy and small volume nebulizer treatments
• Educate patients and families on aerosol, MDI, DPI therapy, and holding chamber use
• Perform suctioning, manual ventilation, assisted ventilation, and intubation support
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide surfactant administration support
• Follow NRP protocols and support t-piece ventilation and neonatal airway care
• Collect, analyze, and interpret blood gases
• Deliver humidified therapy, including heated humidity, aerosol mask, and nasal cannula support
• Maintain safe medication handling and support documentation using unit-based systems
