Overview

This 13-week travel contract is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sonographer or Ultrasound Technologist who enjoys working in a hospital ultrasound department. You will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound exams, support routine and specialized studies, and contribute to efficient, compassionate care in a high-volume clinical environment.

Job Details

• Position: Hospital Sonographer
• Employment Type: Travel Contract
• Location: Boston, MA
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,730 - $1,860
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Shift Frequency: 3 shifts per week
• Setting: Hospital ultrasound department

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Sonographer experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Experience performing general ultrasound cases, including abdomen, OBGYN, small parts, abdominal vasculature, lower extremity DVT, and follicular studies
• NICU and OR experience preferred
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
• Strong technical skills and familiarity with ultrasound equipment
• Professional references and required onboarding documentation
• Current credentials and documentation required for assignment compliance

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with department protocols
• Capture accurate images and provide high-quality studies for physician review
• Support a range of inpatient and specialty ultrasound cases
• Maintain equipment readiness and follow established safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely and efficient patient care
• Adapt to overnight workflow and contribute to smooth department operations
• Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care throughout each exam
