• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380 - $2,550
• Shift: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM, with some flexibility based on unit needs
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Duration: 19 weeks
• Start Date: 8/31/2026
• On Call: None

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Experience with Siemens MRI scanners required
• ARRT certification required
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license preferred at submission; must be obtained prior to start if not already held
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• At least 6 months of pediatric imaging experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
• Comfortable scanning neonates through age 18 and providing age-appropriate pediatric care
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and MRI safety standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and remain attentive in a patient-facing hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Prepare pediatric patients for MRI scans and explain procedures in a reassuring, age-appropriate way
• Operate MRI equipment efficiently and adjust scanning parameters as needed for different patient ages and needs
• Screen patients thoroughly and identify contraindications prior to imaging
• Support safe scanning practices and follow all MRI safety policies and guidelines
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to ensure timely diagnostic imaging results
• Maintain accurate documentation while protecting patient confidentiality
• Assist with patient care tasks as needed in a hospital environment
• Recognize when a scan should be paused or stopped due to motion or the need for sedation/anesthesia
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment
