Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a hospital or acute care setting
- Recent intubation experience required
- Current NBRC RRT or CRT credential
- Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively in a hospital respiratory therapy department
Responsibilities
- Provide cardiopulmonary services in alignment with medical staff protocols and departmental procedures
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures
- Deliver medicated aerosols and other respiratory therapies using compressed gas equipment
- Maintain airways and support ventilator management for adult and/or pediatric patients as assigned
- Perform arterial line insertion, intubations, pulmonary function studies, and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests
- Obtain and analyze blood gases to help guide patient care and treatment plans
- Support both inpatient and outpatient respiratory therapy needs with professionalism and attention to detail
