Experienced MRI Technologist needed for a travel healthcare job in Rochester, New York. Join a busy hospital imaging team, work with GE MRI scanners, and deliver high-quality patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Job Details

• Setting: Hospital-based imaging department
• Employment Type: Travel MRI Technologist
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642
• Start Date: 09/07/2026
• Contract Duration: 18 weeks
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Shift Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Additional Schedule Notes: Holidays, on-call, and callback as needed per unit requirements
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380 - $2,550

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of MRI Technologist experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ARRT certification is a plus; additional MRI certification or similar advanced credential highly desirable
• GE scanner experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Injection certification required
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license required, or willingness to obtain after starting
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, MRI safety, and patient safety practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain professionalism in a patient-centered environment

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for MRI scans and explain procedures in a clear, reassuring manner
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and imaging staff to support timely diagnostic imaging results
• Insert IVs when needed for MRI testing and contrast administration
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment
• Document procedures accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance standards
• Provide patient care support throughout the imaging workflow
• Contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced hospital radiology team
