- Shift: Nights, 7:45 PM to 5:45 AM
- Shift Length: 10-hour night shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 3
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,580 - $1,700
- Schedule: Rotating weekends
- Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in neurophysiology, sleep medicine, or sleep disorders medicine
- One of the following credentials required: RPSGT, RST, or licensed Respiratory Therapist with Sleep Disorder Specialist credentials
- BLS certification required before patient care
- Polysomnography state licensure preferred where applicable
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of sleep staging, sleep studies, and AASM scoring guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for sleep studies and clearly explain procedures in a professional, compassionate manner
- Review clinical data and select appropriate testing modalities based on patient history and interview findings
- Operate polysomnographic equipment to capture accurate diagnostic and therapeutic sleep recordings
- Perform sleep staging and event scoring according to AASM guidelines
- Identify normal versus abnormal results and document detailed technical reports for physician interpretation
- Communicate with physicians and care team members to clarify discrepancies and complete additional testing as needed
- Administer neurodiagnostic procedures independently using established protocols
- Monitor test quality, maintain equipment, and troubleshoot sleep lab and office systems
- Assist with scheduling, patient payments, charge review, and general office support when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all hospital and departmental policies
