- Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
- Schedule: Overnight coverage with a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation
- Interview: Not Required
Job Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license required
- At least 1 year of hospital pharmacist or inpatient pharmacy experience required; 2-3 years preferred
- Overnight pharmacy experience strongly preferred
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Experience with EPIC required
- Experience with Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets required
- Ability to use Pak-Edge or similar unit-dose pharmacy equipment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide recent supervisory references
- Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume clinical workflow
Responsibilities
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently in an inpatient pharmacy setting
- Oversee compounding personnel and support safe medication preparation workflows
- Monitor hospital pharmacy operations during overnight hours
- Escalate operational concerns to the on-call manager as needed
- Support unit-dose medication processes using pharmacy automation and dispensing systems
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and pharmacy procedures
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to support high-quality patient care
