Job Details

• Location: Boston, MA 02215
• Setting: Hospital NICU / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP, following compliance clearance
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,140 - $2,290
• Schedule Notes: Rotating or all-night coverage may be considered; every third weekend rotation

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• NRP certification required
• BLS through AHA required
• Experience in Level II NICU, Level III NICU, or special care nursery preferred
• Delivery room experience preferred
• Ability to manage artificial airways, mechanical ventilation, aerosolized medications, and oxygen therapy
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret respiratory tests and procedures to support neonatal patient care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in the NICU
• Provide respiratory care protocols and treatments with a high level of independence
• Manage ventilation support, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medication administration
• Support neonatal patients in a birthing hospital NICU and related clinical areas
• Deliver compassionate, accurate, and timely respiratory care for fragile newborns
