MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of MRI technologist experience preferred
• Current MRI Technician certification or equivalent clinical credential required
• Experience working in a hospital imaging environment
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety, patient screening, and imaging procedures
• Ability to work overnight shifts and remain calm in a busy clinical setting
• Completion of required onboarding documentation and screenings

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans in accordance with provider orders and department protocols
• Prepare patients for imaging and explain procedures clearly to support comfort and safety
• Follow MRI safety standards, including screening for contraindications and implants
• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment with accuracy and attention to image quality
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to support timely workflow
• Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with departmental standards
• Deliver compassionate care while supporting a smooth overnight imaging operation
