Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience required
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB) and RVT required
- ARDMS OB preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience in a community hospital and Level I Trauma Center required
- Experience using Philips ultrasound equipment preferred
- Ability to perform scans independently within scope and meet facility needs
- Active Connecticut license required prior to start date
- Strong communication skills and comfort working with diverse patient populations
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound studies for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations
- Support imaging services for inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency Department cases
- Complete a variety of general sonography exams, including abdominal, vascular, obstetric, and soft tissue studies as assigned
- Work collaboratively with the care team to deliver accurate, timely imaging results
- Maintain patient safety, professionalism, and excellent bedside manner throughout every exam
- Adapt to a fast-paced trauma-center environment while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail
- Use department equipment and systems effectively, including Epic and Philips technology
- Contribute to smooth daily workflow and provide high-quality care with minimal supervision
