Job Requirements

• Active Respiratory Therapist license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Critical care and teaching hospital experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Experience in trauma, neuro, medical, cardiac, and surgical ICUs
• Proficiency in advanced ventilator management required
• Ability to work on-call as needed, including 2 call shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday commitment required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services for adult critical care and emergency department patients
• Manage advanced ventilator settings and support complex respiratory cases
• Interpret esophageal balloons, PV loops, driving pressure, and best PEEP strategies
• Support patients using a variety of ventilators, including Hamilton G5, C6, T1, MR1, Phillips EV300, and INO vent
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver quality patient care
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions in a dynamic trauma and critical care setting
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Participate in on-call coverage, weekend rotation, and holiday coverage as assigned
