Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician office setting
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a specialized training program in Ultrasonic Technology preferred
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required upon hire or transfer
  • RDMS in OB/GYN within 1 year of hire or transfer
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ultrasound safety, and imaging protocols
  • Ability to troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and produce high-quality sonograms

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound and sonography procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions
  • Capture clear, accurate sonograms while following established imaging protocols and quality standards
  • Prepare and position patients with care, professionalism, and attention to safety
  • Recognize normal and abnormal anatomical findings and communicate results appropriately
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, make simple adjustments, and identify basic equipment issues
  • Follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining organized documentation and workflow
