Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures in a hospital, clinic, or physician office setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a specialized training program in Ultrasonic Technology preferred
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required upon hire or transfer
- RDMS in OB/GYN within 1 year of hire or transfer
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ultrasound safety, and imaging protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and produce high-quality sonograms
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound and sonography procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions
- Capture clear, accurate sonograms while following established imaging protocols and quality standards
- Prepare and position patients with care, professionalism, and attention to safety
- Recognize normal and abnormal anatomical findings and communicate results appropriately
- Operate ultrasound equipment, make simple adjustments, and identify basic equipment issues
- Follow written and verbal instructions while maintaining organized documentation and workflow
