Job Requirements
- 2 years of pediatric hospital experience required as a hard-stop qualification
- Current Ohio RRT license required
- Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Experience with pediatric and neonatal respiratory care strongly preferred
- Must be comfortable floating to other units, including ICU and critical care settings as needed
- Experience with tracheostomy care, non-invasive ventilation, and complex respiratory devices required
- Must be able to provide 2 references at time of submittal, with at least one reference being manager/supervisor titled
- Must have experience with advanced equipment including Hamilton G5, Trilogy, V60, and SiPAP
- Strong familiarity with respiratory diagnostics and treatment in a high-acuity pediatric setting
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy care for patients across multiple age groups, including neonates through adults
- Support treatment for a wide range of pulmonary and complex care conditions
- Set up and manage aerosol therapies, CPAP/BiPAP, oxygen delivery systems, and ventilator support
- Assist with intubation and monitor patients on advanced respiratory equipment
- Perform airway support, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and tracheostomy care
- Manage therapies such as high-flow systems, heliox, continuous albuterol, and airway clearance modalities
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to adjust treatment plans based on patient response
- Float to other departments, including intensive care areas, based on assignment needs
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments, asthma management, and home care techniques
