• Setting: Hospital – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,140 - $2,290
• Start Date: ASAP, pending compliance
• Employment Type: Travel contract

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in a Level II or Level III NICU or Special Care Nursery strongly preferred
• Delivery room experience preferred
• Ability to manage artificial airways, mechanical ventilation, aerosolized medications, and oxygen therapy
• Must be able to work rotating or all-night coverage as assigned

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret respiratory tests and procedures to assess and support neonatal patient care
• Work independently while following respiratory care protocols in a NICU environment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to provide high-quality neonatal respiratory support
• Provide care for infants requiring advanced respiratory interventions, including ventilation and airway management
• Administer oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications as needed
• Support delivery room and neonatal care needs when applicable
• Maintain safe, accurate, and compassionate respiratory care throughout each shift
