Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience, including Adult Critical Care and NICU
- At least 1 prior travel assignment completed
- Current BLS certification
- Current CRT credential
- Active Maryland respiratory therapist licensure
- ACLS preferred
- Experience with Cerner required
- Comfortable working in both adult and neonatal patient care settings
- Must be able to interpret and analyze ABGs confidently
- Experience with ventilators such as Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, and Servo U strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care across adult and NICU patient populations
- Perform airway management and suctioning procedures, including extubation support and tracheostomy care
- Support pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and ABG interpretation
- Assist in high-risk deliveries when needed
- Administer and manage respiratory therapies such as nebulizers, inhalers, HFNC, BiPAP, and CPAP
- Troubleshoot ventilator alarms and support weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Collaborate with respiratory services, rapid response teams, and other clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care
- Maintain accuracy in documentation and follow facility protocols and compliance requirements
