• Patient Areas: ED, ICU, PCU, med/surg, and floater coverage as needed

• Schedule: Nights; local candidates accepted

Job Requirements

• Previous working experience in an ambulatory or acute care setting preferred
• 6 months Respiratory Therapy experience in a general care area preferred
• Current Ohio Respiratory Care license
• National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred; PALS is a plus
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Comfort working with neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and adjust care plans as needed
• Provide respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders
• Set up, monitor, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapies such as oxygen use, inhaler technique, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilator care
• Document care accurately and maintain thorough patient records
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist with code situations as clinically indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to support patient outcomes
• Follow safety, infection control, and quality standards at all times
• Support orientation and mentorship of new team members or students when needed
