We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a short-term acute care teaching hospital in the Rosedale/Baltimore, Maryland area. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys travel healthcare jobs, high-acuity care, and collaboration across both adult and NICU units. - Float Requirement: May float between adult and NICU units
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,430 - $1,530
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
- Experience in Adult Critical Care and NICU required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment completed
- Valid Maryland Respiratory Therapist license required
- Current BLS, CRT, and RRT credentials required
- ACLS and PALS preferred
- Strong experience with Cerner EMR charting preferred
- Comfortable working with Dräger and Servo ventilators
- Must be able to draw and interpret ABGs
- Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to neonates, infants, adults, and geriatric patients as assigned
- Perform airway management procedures such as suctioning, extubation support, and tracheostomy care
- Administer and manage respiratory therapies including aerosols, inhalers, HFNC, BiPAP, and CPAP
- Support ventilator management, including troubleshooting alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and NICU respiratory therapy needs
- Collect and interpret arterial blood gases and umbilical blood gases
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Cerner EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide safe, high-quality patient care
