Job Requirements

• Current New Jersey licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Respiratory Therapist
• At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
• Experience in acute care, critical care, or hospital-based respiratory services preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Ability to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary care team
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care through comprehensive respiratory therapy services
• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans within scope of practice
• Administer ventilatory support, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and nebulizer treatments
• Perform suctioning, chest physiotherapy, oximetry, capnography, and arterial punctures as indicated
• Support mechanical ventilation setup, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Assist with respiratory procedures and patient transport as medically prescribed
• Document treatments, patient responses, and therapy updates accurately in the chart
• Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams during rounds and hand-offs
• Support tracheostomy care, pulmonary function testing, and emergency response as needed
