Job Details
- Position: Travel Mammography Technologist
- Location: New Haven, Connecticut
- Employment Type: Travel Healthcare Job
- Setting: Short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
- Start Date: ASAP / 9/14/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with two day-shift options as needed; every other Saturday
- Weekend Coverage: 2–3 weekend shifts per month
- Floating: Between 4 sites as needed
- Charting System: Epic
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260–$2,430
- Orientation: 8 hours
- Pre-Approved Time Off: Up to 1 request
Job Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mammography or a closely related breast imaging role
- ARRT (M) and ARRT (R) certifications required
- BLS certification required
- Active Connecticut radiology license required prior to start date
- Travel experience required
- Experience with Hologic equipment preferred
- Breast ultrasound experience preferred
- Ability to work rotating day shifts and occasional Saturdays
- Strong communication, patient care, and teamwork skills
- Comfort working in a multi-site healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams
- Support 3D mammography and digital mammography procedures
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Maintain radiation safety standards and universal precautions at all times
- Work collaboratively with radiology and breast imaging team members to support efficient workflow
- Float between multiple sites and adapt to changing daily needs
- Operate mammography imaging equipment with attention to accuracy and quality standards
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and help ensure a positive patient experience
- Follow facility protocols and maintain documentation in Epic
