• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 - $2,030
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage required; floating to other units is expected
• Unit Focus: Pediatric respiratory care with exposure to NICU, PICU, ED, pulmonary, and general floors
• Environment: Care for pediatric and adolescent patients with complex respiratory and cardiac conditions

Job Requirements

• Current Ohio Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in hand
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required; 2 years preferred
• Some NICU experience required; limited NICU experience will be considered
• Experience with pediatric and critical care respiratory support strongly preferred
• Proficiency with Epic charting preferred
• Ability to provide 2 professional references, including at least 1 manager or supervisor
• Comfortable floating across multiple units as needed
• Must be able to support a high-acuity patient population and adapt quickly to changing clinical needs
• Strong experience with respiratory equipment and therapies, including ventilator management and advanced pediatric modalities

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care to infants, children, and adolescents with complex medical needs
• Perform and support advanced respiratory therapies, including aerosol treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway support
• Assist with intubation and manage ventilator-related therapies as clinically appropriate
• Support care for patients with congenital or acquired heart disease, heart failure, transplant history, and trach/vent dependence
• Provide care using specialized equipment and modalities such as V60, HFOV, SiPAP, nitric oxide, IPV, and Metaneb
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Float to general floors, ED, NICU, PICU, and pulmonary units based on staffing needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical protocols
• Respond confidently in a high-acuity pediatric environment with professionalism and flexibility
