Experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) needed for a 13-week travel hospital assignment in Biddeford, Maine. This night-shift respiratory therapist job is ideal for an RRT with ICU, emergency room, neonatal, and critical care experience who enjoys floating across multiple patient care areas and supporting patients from newborns through adults.

• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $2,000

• Work Environment: Float role covering multiple areas throughout the hospital

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Experience in ICU, adult critical care, and hospital respiratory care
• Experience in the ER, including pediatric patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation
• Nursery experience, including participation in high-risk C-sections and neonatal resuscitation
• NICU and PICU experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Comfort using EPIC electronic medical record documentation systems
• Experience with Drager V500 ventilators, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilator, V60 BiPAP, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, NeoPuff, and Ram cannula preferred
• Strong assessment skills, excellent communication, and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy care for patients ranging from newborn to adult across the hospital
• Support critical care, emergency department, nursery, and med-surg areas as needed
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation efforts
• Manage and monitor ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and non-invasive respiratory equipment
• Deliver skilled respiratory support for pediatric patients requiring advanced care in the ER
• Float to all areas of the hospital and respond to changing patient needs with confidence
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the broader care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
