Job Details

• Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist
• Location: Columbus, Ohio
• Setting: Hospital-based respiratory therapy
• Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,660 - $1,780
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit Focus: Med/Surg floors and PCU

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Active Ohio State Respiratory Therapy license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• RRT credential required
• High school diploma or official transcripts required during compliance
• Experience with adult critical care and ventilator management preferred
• Ability to work weekends and float between campuses as needed
• Comfort working in a fast-paced academic medical center environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients
• Perform assessments, treatments, and ongoing respiratory monitoring
• Administer therapies including aerosols, bronchodilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula
• Support airway management, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and extubation procedures
• Interpret ABGs and assist with ventilator weaning and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver safe, effective patient care
• Float to additional campuses when required by patient care needs
