Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist preferred; 2 years of experience strongly preferred for this travel assignment
• Current credentialing in ultrasound technology through RDMS, ARDMS, or ARRT required
• BLS certification preferred upon hire and required prior to direct patient care
• Experience with GE ultrasound equipment preferred
• Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS preferred
• Associate degree from an AMA-approved allied health training program in Ultrasound preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy, safety, and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and related sonography techniques to produce high-quality images
• Verify patient identification, explain procedures, and prepare patients appropriately for exams
• Maintain patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the imaging process
• Document relevant clinical information, sonographer impressions, and procedure details accurately
• Relay findings to the physician or licensed independent practitioner in a timely manner
• Use ultrasound modalities appropriate to the anatomy being examined
• Support scanning of vascular exams, including venous duplex studies, as needed
• Follow high-level disinfection standards and maintain equipment and work area cleanliness
• Participate in performance improvement efforts, orientation, and education of new staff or students
• Deliver excellent customer service while promoting a positive, team-focused environment
