Job Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of formal in-hospital Surgical Technologist experience
Associate degree from an accredited Surgical Tech program
Current Surgical Technologist certification from NBSTSA
Current BLS certification from AHA
Experience in open heart surgery or CVOR preferred
Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
Comfortable with floating or reassignment within clinical competence if needed
Strong teamwork, adaptability, and attention to detail in a high-acuity surgical environment

Responsibilities

Serve as a Surgical Technologist in the cardiovascular operating room
Scrub a variety of surgical cases, including orthopedic, neurological, general surgery, and cardiovascular procedures
Assist the surgical team with preparation, instrumentation, and sterile field support
Maintain efficiency and readiness throughout complex operative cases
Adapt to changing case needs and potential float assignments within scope and competence
Support safe, high-quality patient care in a collaborative OR environment
Contribute to smooth workflow during busy day shifts and rotating coverage needs
