Job Requirements

• Current Respiratory Therapist license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• Critical care and teaching hospital experience required
• Level I trauma center experience in a 400+ bed hospital preferred
• Proficiency with advanced ventilator management and adult critical care respiratory therapy
• Experience with esophageal balloons, PV loop interpretations, driving pressure assessment, and best PEEP maneuvers
• Ability to work on-call as needed
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for adult critical care and ED patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Manage advanced ventilator strategies and support complex respiratory needs
• Interpret ventilator data to help optimize patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Respond to emergent patient needs in a high-acuity teaching hospital environment
• Support care across trauma, neuro, medical, cardiac, and surgical ICU populations
• Maintain documentation and workflow in the EPIC EMR system
• Participate in required call coverage, weekend rotation, and holiday coverage
