Job Requirements
- Minimum 1.5 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Prior experience in PICU and NICU settings required
- Active New Jersey Respiratory Therapist license required
- Current BLS certification required
- NBRC credential required
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP required; some certifications may be obtained onsite
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
- Strong clinical confidence in high-acuity pediatric and neonatal respiratory care
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care for neonatal critical care and pediatric patients
- Initiate and manage ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Perform blood gas collection, medication administration, and chest physiotherapy
- Respond to codes and assist with in-house patient transport
- Support airway management, including intubation assist, extubation, and suctioning
- Work with equipment such as Servo-I, Servo-U, and V60 BiPAP systems
- Float between pediatric units and NICU based on facility needs
- Contribute to safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment
