- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekend call required
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
- Call Rotation: 1 on / 4 off; Saturday and Sunday call from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in echocardiography, cardiac sonography, or a similar diagnostic cardiac imaging role
- Proficiency in adult echocardiography, including Transthoracic Echo (TTE), Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential through ARDMS or CCI preferred; registry required within 1 year of employment if not currently certified
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within the preliminary employment period
- Strong knowledge of infection control, safety, and practice-specific competencies
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for echocardiography procedures
- Obtain high-quality cardiac images to support accurate interpretation and patient care
- Explain procedures to patients and provide compassionate education and support
- Assist physicians in reviewing imaging data and maintaining accurate records
- Deliver care in alignment with hospital protocols, procedures, and standards of practice
- Maintain competency across echocardiography modalities and stay current with credentialing expectations
- Support equipment management, archiving, supply procurement, and exam room organization
- Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and support teams to promote efficient patient flow and exceptional service
- Perform general cleaning, office upkeep, and quality monitoring tasks as needed
- Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while contributing as a dependable team member
