• Shift: 5x8 schedule, Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging, radiologic technology, or a related field
• ARRT certification required; ARRT MRI certification or similar certification is highly desired
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Injection certification required
• Experience with GE MRI scanners required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• New York State Rad Tech license required or willingness to obtain after starting
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, MRI safety, and patient care best practices
• Ability to stand for extended periods and maintain a professional, patient-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Prepare patients for MRI scans and explain procedures to help ease anxiety and improve comfort
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the imaging team to support timely delivery of results
• Insert IVs when necessary for contrast imaging procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized MRI scanning environment
• Document procedures accurately while protecting patient confidentiality and compliance standards
• Provide patient care support throughout the diagnostic imaging workflow
• Support a fast-paced hospital setting with professionalism, attention to detail, and teamwork
