Job Requirements

• 2 years of recent experience in Interventional Radiology or a related radiology setting
• Active New York State license, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association only
• VIR certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of imaging equipment, patient preparation, and procedural support
• Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology examinations and procedures
• Assist the radiologist during procedures and provide skilled technical support
• Select appropriate exposure factors and produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate imaging equipment with proficiency and report malfunctions promptly
• Maintain efficient workflow by assisting with room turnover and supporting team needs between procedures
• Demonstrate compassion, accountability, and respect in all patient interactions
• Maintain compliance with documentation systems including HIS, RIS, and PACS
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow secure medication handling practices
• Respond professionally to technical questions from physicians and hospital staff
• Support quality improvement efforts and contribute to a positive team environment
