• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,670 - $1,790
• Orientation: 20 hours

Job Requirements

• Current RRT or CRT credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Active Ohio Respiratory Care Professional Board licensure or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent specialty experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatments
• Develop and implement plans of care based on patient diagnosis, condition, and treatment goals
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status accurately and promptly
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities as needed in an acute care setting
• Evaluate respiratory therapy interventions and medication administration based on patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about illness management and available community resources
• Respond appropriately in stressful situations and take decisive action when needed
• Complete additional duties as assigned to support excellent patient care and team collaboration
